The characters of Pixar's Finding Dory aren't exactly suited for the Harry Potter universe but if they were, where would they go?

Picture a magical world with fantastical creatures. A world in which you get attached to animals and see their personalities shining through. A world in which characters go on daring quests and experience wild adventures. This description is about Disney/Pixar's movie Finding Dory, but it could have easily been about Harry Potter.

Though these two films are tonally different, there are more similarities than one might originally think. Considering the development these fictional characters receive, it is easy to determine their core traits, which makes it easy to place them into their Hogwarts houses.

10 Mr. Ray: Ravenclaw

Mr. Ray is Nemo's teacher. This sting-ray is incredibly intelligent and shares his knowledge with his students. These lessons are creative and often include real-life examples and field trips. He is also known for his sharpness and he is able to quickly and easily navigate challenging situations that arise while teaching.

Furthermore, Mr. Ray is very accepting and values individuals. He appreciates all of the children in his class and doesn't ever seem annoyed with Dory. For all of these reasons, Mr. Ray would be an amazing contribution to the Ravenclaw house.

9 Becky: Slytherin

Don't make the mistake Marlin made and underestimate Becky. This bird can get the job done. When she commits to something, she completes the task to the agreed-upon terms. But Becky isn't going to go out of her way for you without a deep connection, which is why you must first look her in the eye.

Becky is no fool. She takes advantage of the opportunities in front of her and isn't going to put your needs over her own, which is why she paused her delivery of Marlin and Nemo to eat some delicious popcorn. Becky is the only one who can get Nemo and Marlin into the Marine Life Institute. This proves that Becky has strong leadership, is achievement-oriented, and values self-preservation above all, earning her a place in Slytherin house.

With his wisdom and creativity being at the center of his communications with Dory, it is clear that Charlie is a Ravenclaw.

6 Bailey: Gryffindor

10 Characters From Finding Dory Sorted Into Their Hogwarts Houses

When Bailey is first introduced he seems like a lazy coward. He is lucky that the sorting hat sees one's full potential because much like Neville Longbottom, this character rises to the occasion when it matters. Without a call to action, Bailey was happy to lie around doing nothing all day.

However, as soon as Dory is in trouble, Bailey is quick to spring into action. In just one day, he confronts all of his fears head-on in order to help his new friend accomplish her mission. It takes an extraordinary amount of bravery to overcome one's greatest fears so Gryffindor is the house for this beluga!

Destiny is a loyal friend, but she is also incredibly sharp. Destiny knows what she is talking about and isn't afraid to throw her knowledge in the faces of her friends. She immediately calls out Bailey, disregarding his feelings and focusing on the facts.

She also demonstrates her wit through her sharp tongue and quick verbal responses. As Ravenclaws often do, Destiny values originality and individuality and embraces Dory in all of her quirky glory.

4 Hank: Slytherin

Once Nemo puts his mind to something, he is 100 percent devoted to the cause and determined to succeed.

2 Marlin: Hufflepuff

Marlin can be a bit explosive, but deep down he is a deeply compassionate fish. His explosions are typically the result of fear as Marlin is scarred by the trauma of losing his wife and unborn children. He was dedicated to his wife and children feels responsible for not being able to protect them.

Though he loses his temper sometimes, he is ultimately patient and kind with Dory. Marlin is hardworking. He recognizes that life isn't fair but holds fairness is high regard. Though cautious by nature, he is willing to take risks if it means remaining dedicated and loyal to those he cares about. These traits all contribute to his placement in Hufflepuff.

1 Dory: Gryffindor

Dory has nerve! This fish is unapologetically herself. She demonstrates her boldness in every move she makes. From her blunt speech to her willingness to spring into action, Dory consistently proves that she is the hero of her own story.

She has courage and is so determined that she is able to overcome her memory loss when fixated on accomplishing a task. Hopefully, she can apply the same determination to remembering the Gryffindor common room password, or one of her friends is going to have to be around to let her in.

10 Characters That Are Inexplicably Absent In Twin Peaks Season 3

10 Characters That Are Inexplicably Absent In Twin Peaks Season 3 Twin Peaks has a sizable cast. While these characters played an important role prior to season 3, they were inexplicably absent from it. Twin Peaks took living rooms by storm when it premiered in April, 1990. Unfortunately, some of that thunder slowed down in the show's second season, prompting its cancellation despite a shocking cliffhanger. Only twenty-five years later did a third season bring most of the essential players back together to continue one of the most enigmatic and fascinating stories ever told through the medium. Not everybody returned, however, leaving many characters' actions during this time a mystery. While some extended universe literature sheds light on some Twin Peak's residences, the show's third season makes almost no mention of the following characters. 10 Leo Johnson Those who hated Leo Johnson's cruel and abusive treatment towards Shelly must have delighted in seeing him to...

10 Characters From The Office Who Deserved Better In NBC's The Office, there is the core cast (Michael, Jim, Dwight, etc.), but also well-written minor characters. Here are 10 who deserved better. In television, not all characters are created or written equally. When The Office premiered on NBC in 2005, the show was revered for its strongly featured and witty, well-written supporting cast. Although there were the core players (Michael, Jim, Dwight, Pam, and Ryan), there was an immediate sense of comedic equality when it came to the background characters of Angela, Phyllis, Kevin, etc. As the series drew to a close after nine seasons, we noticed not all minor roles were developed or treated how they deserved to be. Some were written off abruptly, some slandered by their coworkers, and others were just plain ignored and left to fend for themselves. Here are 10 characters who deserved far better treatment and endings than what they were given. 10 Meredith Palmer Throughout the series,...
