10 Characters From Other Animated Series That Would Be Great On Family Guy

From Lisa Simpson to Sterling Archer, here are 10 animated characters who would work well in a crossover with Family Guy.

There’s no dearth of ridiculousness in Family Guy, from hilarious cameos to dark, surreal humor, the show has done it all and with a lot of comedic flair. The fact that it’s unapologetic in its inappropriateness and highly unpredictable helps the makers keep the premise fresh so fans never really know what’s in store for them.

But what if Family Guy were to have some fun crossovers or if some famous characters from other animated sitcoms could join in on the fun in Quahog, what could it look like? Here are just some animated characters who would be great on Family Guy.

10 Lisa Simpson From The Simpsons

There’s no reason for Lisa to regularly join the Family Guy universe except to be a friend to Meg, who is criminally ignored and slighted by her family.

Interestingly, both Lisa and Meg do not really gel with their families but are simply too young to realize the breadth of their issue. While Liza is a total genius and is appreciated by her family but often overlooked, Meg is often abandoned or forgotten, especially by her dad. The two kids would simply have a lot to talk about, starting with parental neglect.

9 Archer from Archer

What would a super awesome agent be doing in the Family Guy universe? Making it more hysterical obviously. Sterling Archer has often ranted about how dysfunctional his family is and finds a way to blame his mum for many of his flaws, but then again the Archers were always superbly rich and well-off.

It would be healthy for Sterling to explore how a working-class, suburban family handles their family feuds or miscommunications. Of course, he would drop in at Rhode Island on a case, maybe undercover as a house guest at the Griffins'

8 Ben Hopkins From Hoops

Imagining the hot-headed, ranting, and rule-breaker basketball coach in the Family Guy universe may give many fans a lot of anxiety because things are sure to get messy if that ever happens.

Hopkins lives and works in a town where he is easily one of the most irritable and bad-tempered guys, but in Family Guy, almost everyone is just as rowdy. If not loud, they are sketchy or just inappropriate and would be great fun to see how Hopkins fits into this world, especially since he’s not very good at adapting to change.

7 Mr. Peanutbutter From BoJack Horseman

In any other animated world, a talking dog would be a no-no but Family Guy already has a talking dog so the crossover-loving Mr. Peanut Butter would fit right in.

We could totally see Mr. Peanut Butter coming to visit the Griffin family because he wants to make a show on their life or because he’s making a documentary on suburban living, but the amiable producer and actor would have plenty of nasty surprises awaiting him at Quahog, especially if he thinks Rhode Island is slow-paced than Hollywoo.

6 Frank Murphy: F Is For Family

Family Guy has quite a few disgruntled dads but sure could use a few. Bill Burr’s Frank Murphy is a seventies war veteran dad who works at the airport and can be quite foul-mouthed and temperamental and is one of the daddest dads there is.

Though the show is set in the past, the Murphys could set up residence at Quahog and eventually become neighbors with the Griffins. In fact, aspects of the show’s visual aesthetic and styling are quite similar to Family Guy, so it wouldn't be such a stretch of the imagination for a crossover

5 Alucard From Castlevania

Yes, it sounds strange - what would the gorgeous blond vampire and Dracula’s kin be doing in Quahog? But why not? Family Guy has introduced a number of odd, quirky characters through the years, so why not Alucard?

He would certainly be intrigued by the Griffins and might even strike up a friendship with Stewie since they both have British accents. And since Alucard is immortal and fairly adventurous, it’s likely that he loves traveling, so why shouldn’t he visit America extensively?

4 Mallory Archer From Archer

There’s no cohesive reason for the fiery ex super agent to come to Quahog since she lives in a very plush penthouse suite somewhere at the heart of New York probably. That’s all the more reason why Mallory’s addition would make for such a great opportunity because she clearly hates suburban living, at Rhode Island, no less.

But she may rent a small home in the town just to get away from all the craziness at her company, or maybe has a secret safe house at Quahog which she uses to hide from her enemies or assassins.

3 Todd From BoJack Horseman

Chances are Todd would eventually get pretty tired of Hollywoo and embark on an adventure to travel a bit and if he does land in Quahog, he has plenty of ridiculousness awaiting him.

Todd is a creature of his circumstance, he can adapt to whatever situation he is in, which is why the glitz and glamour of Hollywoo never rubbed off on him. It would be fun to see him adjusting to life in a boring old town with plenty of odd characters around, who are even weirder than the ones from his old life.

2 Stan Marsh from South Park

We have a feeling that Stan could be an interesting addition to the Family Guy universe. He has some pretty prolific insights at times, and can even be described as the moral backbone of his squad, but he’s also a realist.

Something tells us that Stan and Stewie could be really good friends, especially since Stewie gets along well with people who challenge him cerebrally, and he also could use some real human friends. And despite the profanity and the dark, macabre personal epiphanies, Stan wouldn’t be a bad influence on Stewie.

1 Homer Simpson From The Simpsons

The Griffins and the Simpsons have already crossed over before, but Homer and Peter simply need to have another dad-off to decide who’s the more ridiculous father. To be fair, Homer is a better father than Peter is and even wants to be, he’s careless and inappropriate and quite selfish.

But Homer tries his hardest to keep his wife and kids happy and has even gone out of his way to help them. He’s also a better and more thoughtful husband, so here’s hoping Homer could give Peter some further tips on how to be a better and more functional family man.
